About Us

Spartan Pure was founded in 2012 by two cousins who have a passion for family and pure extra virgin olive oil. One cousin farms the family olive groves in Sparta Greece while the other lives outside of Boston Massachusetts taking care of importing and distribution. With the help of our family we enjoy sharing our knowledge and having food lovers experience what pure extra virgin olive oil tastes like.

From harvest to bottle we strive to provide you with pure extra virgin olive oil that you are proud to share with family and friends.

Our Oil

Sparta Greece has a long history as a premier olive oil producing region in the world dating back thousands of years. Olive trees cover the countryside with many of them in excess of 500 years of age.

Spartan Pure is a varietal blend harvested from our family’s top olive grove located in Sparta Greece. Our ancient olive trees average over 100 years of age and naturally produce lower yields that adds power and complexity to our oil.

Our extra virgin olive oil is a blend of 50% Koroneiki olives known for it’s rich fruit flavor, 30% Athinolia olives which are highly regarded by local Spartans for its peppery notes. The remaining 20% are from ancient heritage olive trees that add a powerful richness to our oil.
